Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 62 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA SPORTAGE with mechanical damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,100 to $4,700. That is level with the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,450 a good price for this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

1406 comparable 2017 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,550, spanning $3,050 to $4,650. At $5,450 this one went 54% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

Is 66,259 miles high for a 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 98,038 miles across 1406 sales, so at 66,259 miles this one sits 32% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - RINCON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
