Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 60 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA SPORTAGE with mechanical damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,100 to $4,700. That is level with the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - AMARILLO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This KIA SPORTAGE has mechanical and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 189,812 miles high for a 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 98,167 miles across 1363 sales, so at 189,812 miles this one sits 93% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
