Question 1

What do hail 2020 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 50 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA SPORTAGE with hail damage, the median was $4,975, from $3,450 to $7,300. That is 18% above the $4,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

2666 comparable 2020 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,200, spanning $3,250 to $6,000. At $6,800 this one went 62% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SPORTAGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE's pre-damage retail value at $14,192. It sold for $6,800 — 52% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 104,661 miles high for a 2020 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 75,347 miles across 2666 sales, so at 104,661 miles this one sits 39% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
