Question 1

What do front end 2022 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 567 recorded sales of the 2022 KIA SPORTAGE with front end damage, the median was $4,250, from $3,250 to $5,900. That is 7% below the $4,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2022 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

1351 comparable 2022 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,550, spanning $3,300 to $6,800. At $3,700 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 KIA SPORTAGE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - FLINT. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 85,633 miles high for a 2022 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 58,582 miles across 1351 sales, so at 85,633 miles this one sits 46% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
