Question 1

What do vandalism 2021 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 145 recorded sales of the 2021 KIA SPORTAGE with vandalism damage, the median was $4,975, from $3,650 to $7,100. That is 14% above the $4,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2021 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

1660 comparable 2021 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,350, spanning $3,300 to $6,400. At $5,900 this one went 36% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA SPORTAGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SPORTAGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 KIA SPORTAGE's pre-damage retail value at $15,161. It sold for $5,900 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 49,325 miles high for a 2021 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 69,961 miles across 1660 sales, so at 49,325 miles this one sits 29% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
