What do rear end 2020 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Across 261 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA SPORTAGE with rear end damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,350 to $5,900. That is 4% above the $4,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE?

2665 comparable 2020 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,200, spanning $3,250 to $6,000. At $6,900 this one went 64% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SPORTAGE sell for?

The insurer put this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE's pre-damage retail value at $18,691. It sold for $6,900 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

This 2020 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 25,069 miles high for a 2020 KIA SPORTAGE?

Comparable 2020 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 75,303 miles across 2665 sales, so at 25,069 miles this one sits 67% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

With just 25,069 miles on the odometer, this SUV was a prime candidate for those seeking a reliable vehicle. The automatic transmission provided smooth handling, making it an excellent choice for city driving and weekend getaways alike. Despite its appeal, the Sportage experienced rear-end damage, which was clearly noted in the auction listing. However, it was confirmed that the vehicle ran and drove well, suggesting that the damage did not impede its overall performance. In summary, this 2020 KIA Sportage LX presented a unique opportunity with its limited mileage and operational condition, despite the rear-end damage. It stood out as a solid choice for those in search of a well-maintained SUV.
