Question 1

What do theft 2019 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 47 recorded sales of the 2019 KIA SPORTAGE with theft damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,150 to $5,450. That is level with the $3,838 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,925 a good price for this 2019 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

1050 comparable 2019 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,838, spanning $3,100 to $5,050. At $3,925 this one went 2% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA SPORTAGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 42,781 miles high for a 2019 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 81,409 miles across 1050 sales, so at 42,781 miles this one sits 47% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
