Question 1

What do undercarriage 2018 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA SPORTAGE with undercarriage damage, the median was $3,425, from $3,100 to $4,125. That is 6% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WI - APPLETON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 850 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $550-$800, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA SPORTAGE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 127,820 miles high for a 2018 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 93,400 miles across 1103 sales, so at 127,820 miles this one sits 37% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
