Question 1

What do front end 2018 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 390 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA SPORTAGE with front end damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,075 to $4,500. That is 3% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,600 a good price for this 2018 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

1103 comparable 2018 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,100 to $4,800. At $3,600 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SPORTAGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 KIA SPORTAGE's pre-damage retail value at $17,512. It sold for $3,600 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA SPORTAGE was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA SPORTAGE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This KIA SPORTAGE has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
