Question 1

What do front end 2017 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 463 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA SPORTAGE with front end damage, the median was $3,500, from $3,050 to $4,450. That is 1% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - EIGHT MILE. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 146,268 miles high for a 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 98,188 miles across 1366 sales, so at 146,268 miles this one sits 49% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was USAA. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 KIA SPORTAGE was listed at COPART as lot 70715686 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
