Question 1

What do front & rear 2017 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA SPORTAGE with front & rear damage, the median was $3,425, from $3,025 to $3,900. That is 4% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA SPORTAGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

Is 171,290 miles high for a 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 98,159 miles across 1372 sales, so at 171,290 miles this one sits 75% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2017 KIA SPORTAGE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 KIA SPORTAGE was listed at IAAI as lot 46249673 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN KNDPNCAC6H7154838?

Accepted Answer

KNDPNCAC6H7154838 identifies this specific 2017 KIA SPORTAGE in grey with a 2.4l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, 181hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
