Question 1

What do flood 2023 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA SORENTO with flood damage, the median was $9,775, from $7,200 to $12,100. That is 10% above the $8,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,300 a good price for this 2023 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

1932 comparable 2023 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $8,900, spanning $5,000 to $14,100. At $9,300 this one went 4% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 KIA SORENTO was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 KIA SORENTO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - SCOTT. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 37,366 miles high for a 2023 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 43,011 miles across 1932 sales, so at 37,366 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
