Question 1

What do rear end 2024 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 109 recorded sales of the 2024 KIA SORENTO with rear end damage, the median was $13,500, from $8,500 to $17,600. That is 10% above the $12,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,000 a good price for this 2024 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

1051 comparable 2024 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $12,300, spanning $6,200 to $17,400. At $12,000 this one went 2% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA SORENTO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SORENTO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2024 KIA SORENTO's pre-damage retail value at $24,677. It sold for $12,000 — 51% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - OCALA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 18,507 miles high for a 2024 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 28,943 miles across 1051 sales, so at 18,507 miles this one sits 36% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
