Question 1

What do front end 2017 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 316 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA SORENTO with front end damage, the median was $3,500, from $3,050 to $4,400. That is 1% below the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA SORENTO was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - WHEELING. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 87,491 miles high for a 2017 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 104,007 miles across 933 sales, so at 87,491 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was CARMAX. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6
