Question 1

What do all over 2016 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 11 recorded sales of the 2016 KIA SORENTO with all over damage, the median was $3,350, from $3,200 to $3,750. That is 3% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,300 a good price for this 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

828 comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,550. At $3,300 this one went 4% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SORENTO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 KIA SORENTO's pre-damage retail value at $11,189. It sold for $3,300 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA SORENTO was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 159,157 miles high for a 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 105,544 miles across 828 sales, so at 159,157 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA SORENTO. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
