Question 1

What do side 2020 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 111 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA SORENTO with side damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,250 to $5,800. That is 3% above the $4,175 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2020 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

1416 comparable 2020 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $4,175, spanning $3,150 to $6,200. At $4,500 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SORENTO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 KIA SORENTO's pre-damage retail value at $13,907. It sold for $4,500 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CAHOKIA HEIGHTS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 98,771 miles high for a 2020 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 82,309 miles across 1416 sales, so at 98,771 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA SORENTO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
