Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA SORENTO with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,050 to $5,300. That is 3% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,400 a good price for this 2018 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

741 comparable 2018 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,075 to $5,200. At $3,400 this one went 7% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA SORENTO was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - WILMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA SORENTO. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 121,830 miles high for a 2018 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 96,591 miles across 741 sales, so at 121,830 miles this one sits 26% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
