Question 1

What do front end 2016 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 237 recorded sales of the 2016 KIA SORENTO with front end damage, the median was $3,425, from $3,050 to $4,400. That is 1% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,800 a good price for this 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

820 comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,550. At $3,800 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA SORENTO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA SORENTO was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IN - INDIANAPOLIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 600 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$725, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 140,831 miles high for a 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 105,575 miles across 820 sales, so at 140,831 miles this one sits 33% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
