Question 1

What do front end 2016 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 236 recorded sales of the 2016 KIA SORENTO with front end damage, the median was $3,400, from $3,050 to $4,350. That is 1% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,975 a good price for this 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

817 comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,550. At $3,975 this one went 15% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA SORENTO was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

Is 119,183 miles high for a 2016 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 105,487 miles across 817 sales, so at 119,183 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This KIA SORENTO has front end and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA SORENTO. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
