Question 1

What does a salvage mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA SORENTO was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

Is 171,126 miles high for a 2017 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 103,877 miles across 926 sales, so at 171,126 miles this one sits 65% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2017 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was FARMERS INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

Did this 2017 KIA SORENTO come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with unknown damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 5XYPGDA52HG316727?

Accepted Answer

5XYPGDA52HG316727 identifies this specific 2017 KIA SORENTO in brown with a 3.3l v-6 di, dohc, vvt, regular , 290hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 KIA SORENTO from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 KIA SORENTO was listed at IAAI as lot 46130948 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
