Question 1

This KIA SORENTO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

How far is this KIA SORENTO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IL - MARKHAM. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

This KIA SORENTO has exterior burn and total burn damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 1 miles high for a 2017 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 104,093 miles across 956 sales, so at 1 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2017 KIA SORENTO from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 KIA SORENTO was listed at IAAI as lot 44827332 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XYPG4A31HG268989?

Accepted Answer

5XYPG4A31HG268989 identifies this specific 2017 KIA SORENTO in grey with a 2.4l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, 185hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only.
