Question 1

What do hail 2018 KIA SORENTO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA SORENTO with hail damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,150 to $5,000. That is 10% above the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,050 a good price for this 2018 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

729 comparable 2018 KIA SORENTO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,050 to $5,200. At $4,050 this one went 11% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA SORENTO was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA SORENTO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 146,276 miles high for a 2018 KIA SORENTO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA SORENTO listings at auction averaged 96,313 miles across 729 sales, so at 146,276 miles this one sits 52% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This KIA SORENTO has hail and storm damage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
