Question 1

What do hail 2022 KIA SELTOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2022 KIA SELTOS with hail damage, the median was $7,525, from $5,000 to $11,600. That is 57% above the $4,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2022 KIA SELTOS?

Accepted Answer

853 comparable 2022 KIA SELTOS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,800, spanning $3,300 to $7,600. At $8,500 this one went 77% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA SELTOS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 KIA SELTOS's pre-damage retail value at $16,999. It sold for $8,500 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 KIA SELTOS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this KIA SELTOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OH - COLUMBIA STATION. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 53,659 miles high for a 2022 KIA SELTOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 KIA SELTOS listings at auction averaged 56,865 miles across 853 sales, so at 53,659 miles this one sits 6% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
