Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 12 recorded sales of the 2016 KIA OPTIMA with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $3,700, from $3,450 to $4,550. That is 7% above the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,450 a good price for this 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

259 comparable 2016 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,300. At $3,450 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - PUYALLUP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 82,733 miles high for a 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 91,258 miles across 259 sales, so at 82,733 miles this one sits 9% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
