Question 1

What do rear end 2019 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 121 recorded sales of the 2019 KIA OPTIMA with rear end damage, the median was $3,450, from $3,050 to $4,500. That is 4% below the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,000 a good price for this 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

830 comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $4,900. At $4,000 this one went 11% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA OPTIMA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 KIA OPTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $11,573. It sold for $4,000 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This KIA OPTIMA has rear end and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 120,623 miles high for a 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 80,451 miles across 830 sales, so at 120,623 miles this one sits 50% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
