Question 1

What do rear 2019 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 56 recorded sales of the 2019 KIA OPTIMA with rear damage, the median was $3,600, from $3,000 to $4,550. That is level with the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

849 comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $4,950. At $6,700 this one went 86% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage certificate-ca mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a salvage certificate-ca. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This KIA OPTIMA has rear and right rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - RANCHO CORDOVA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 65,542 miles high for a 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 80,522 miles across 849 sales, so at 65,542 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
