Question 1

What do right side 2016 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2016 KIA OPTIMA with right side damage, the median was $3,225, from $3,050 to $3,450. That is 7% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a ab-salvage-alberta mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a ab-salvage-alberta. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

Is 191,197 miles high for a 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 91,258 miles across 259 sales, so at 191,197 miles this one sits 110% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Where was this KIA OPTIMA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ALBERTA - LETHBRIDGE. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

Did this 2016 KIA OPTIMA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
