Question 1

What do front end 2020 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 215 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA OPTIMA with front end damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,050 to $4,600. That is 3% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OH - COLUMBIA STATION. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 78,451 miles high for a 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 76,937 miles across 670 sales, so at 78,451 miles this one sits 2% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGT4L34LG452099?

Accepted Answer

5XXGT4L34LG452099 identifies this specific 2020 KIA OPTIMA in black with a 2.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
