Question 1

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This KIA OPTIMA has front and engine damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 154,718 miles high for a 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 91,258 miles across 259 sales, so at 154,718 miles this one sits 70% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this KIA OPTIMA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - OSHAWA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 KIA OPTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 12358039 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
