Question 1

What do front end 2020 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 226 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA OPTIMA with front end damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,050 to $4,600. That is 1% below the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - HOMESTEAD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 117,951 miles high for a 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 77,128 miles across 693 sales, so at 117,951 miles this one sits 53% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGT4L38LG437234?

Accepted Answer

5XXGT4L38LG437234 identifies this specific 2020 KIA OPTIMA in black with a 2.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
