Question 1

What do vandalism 2020 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 48 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA OPTIMA with vandalism damage, the median was $3,700, from $3,100 to $4,400. That is 2% above the $3,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CO - BRIGHTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,030 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $675-$975, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 98,981 miles high for a 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 77,204 miles across 683 sales, so at 98,981 miles this one sits 28% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGT4L37LG388737?

Accepted Answer

5XXGT4L37LG388737 identifies this specific 2020 KIA OPTIMA in white with a 2.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
