Question 1

What do theft 2020 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA OPTIMA with theft damage, the median was $4,025, from $3,100 to $4,650. That is 11% above the $3,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,825 a good price for this 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

685 comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,625, spanning $3,050 to $4,950. At $3,825 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This KIA OPTIMA has theft and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in SC - LEXINGTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 87,095 miles high for a 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 77,200 miles across 685 sales, so at 87,095 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
