Question 1

What do vandalism 2019 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 67 recorded sales of the 2019 KIA OPTIMA with vandalism damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,250 to $4,850. That is 7% above the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,950 a good price for this 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

829 comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $4,900. At $3,950 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA OPTIMA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 KIA OPTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $14,050. It sold for $3,950 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 38,105 miles high for a 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 80,349 miles across 829 sales, so at 38,105 miles this one sits 53% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
