Question 1

What do front & rear 2019 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2019 KIA OPTIMA with front & rear damage, the median was $3,775, from $3,050 to $4,250. That is 5% above the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,750 a good price for this 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

828 comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $4,850. At $3,750 this one went 4% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - DETROIT. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 64,353 miles high for a 2019 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 80,364 miles across 828 sales, so at 64,353 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
