Question 1

What do vandalism 2017 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2017 KIA OPTIMA with vandalism damage, the median was $3,375, from $3,100 to $3,650. That is 2% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - MARTINEZ. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 59,430 miles high for a 2017 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 87,589 miles across 208 sales, so at 59,430 miles this one sits 32% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This KIA OPTIMA has vandalism and stripped damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGT4L35HG131745?

Accepted Answer

5XXGT4L35HG131745 identifies this specific 2017 KIA OPTIMA in black with a 2.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
