Question 1

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

Who sold this 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was MERCURY INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGT4L36GG004632?

Accepted Answer

5XXGT4L36GG004632 identifies this specific 2016 KIA OPTIMA with a 2.4l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, regular , 185hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2016 KIA OPTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 46218936 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
