Question 1

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OR - PORTLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA OPTIMA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 85,982 miles high for a 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA OPTIMA listings at auction averaged 91,258 miles across 259 sales, so at 85,982 miles this one sits 6% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2016 KIA OPTIMA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Who sold this 2016 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 KIA OPTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 KIA OPTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 41573190 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
