What do mechanical 2020 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Across 15 recorded sales of the 2020 KIA OPTIMA with mechanical damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,537 to $5,500. That is 19% above the $3,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $4,850 a good price for this 2020 KIA OPTIMA?

683 comparable 2020 KIA OPTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,625, spanning $3,050 to $4,950. At $4,850 this one went 34% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA OPTIMA sell for?

The insurer put this 2020 KIA OPTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $22,863. It sold for $4,850 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this KIA OPTIMA?

This 2020 KIA OPTIMA was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 KIA OPTIMA. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in CA - SACRAMENTO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
