Question 1

What do front end 2018 KIA OPTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 134 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA OPTIMA with front end damage, the median was $3,350, from $3,050 to $4,300. That is 4% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This KIA OPTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this KIA OPTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in FL - SOUTHWEST RANCH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Who sold this 2018 KIA OPTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was OCEAN HARBOR INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2018 KIA OPTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 KIA OPTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 45928137 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XXGU4L36JG188653?

Accepted Answer

5XXGU4L36JG188653 identifies this specific 2018 KIA OPTIMA with a 2.4l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, 185hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only.
