Question 1

What does a clear mean for this KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA NIRO was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 2

How far is this KIA NIRO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NV - MCCARRAN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 KIA NIRO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 115,504 miles high for a 2017 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA NIRO listings at auction averaged 103,277 miles across 401 sales, so at 115,504 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN KNDCB3LC2H5057331?

Accepted Answer

KNDCB3LC2H5057331 identifies this specific 2017 KIA NIRO in red with a 1.6l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, 104hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Did this 2017 KIA NIRO come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with engine damage damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
