Question 1

What do side 2023 KIA NIRO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 155 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA NIRO with side damage, the median was $7,900, from $4,500 to $10,700. That is 5% above the $7,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,600 a good price for this 2023 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

1192 comparable 2023 KIA NIRO listings sold at auction for a median of $7,500, spanning $4,200 to $10,700. At $5,600 this one went 25% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA NIRO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA NIRO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 KIA NIRO's pre-damage retail value at $20,456. It sold for $5,600 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a non-repairable mean for this KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 KIA NIRO was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 6

Is 31,707 miles high for a 2023 KIA NIRO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA NIRO listings at auction averaged 56,675 miles across 1192 sales, so at 31,707 miles this one sits 44% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
