Question 1

What does a salvage mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 KIA FORTE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

Is 155,172 miles high for a 2017 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 78,344 miles across 83 sales, so at 155,172 miles this one sits 98% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2017 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

Did this 2017 KIA FORTE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with unknown damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2017 KIA FORTE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 KIA FORTE was listed at IAAI as lot 46269633 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3KPFL4A79HE114893?

Accepted Answer

3KPFL4A79HE114893 identifies this specific 2017 KIA FORTE in white with a 2.0l i-4 dohc, vvt, 147hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
