Question 1

What do water/flood 2023 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 71 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA FORTE with water/flood damage, the median was $5,250, from $3,700 to $7,200. That is 8% above the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,200 a good price for this 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

5325 comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,400 to $7,600. At $4,200 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA FORTE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 KIA FORTE's pre-damage retail value at $19,046. It sold for $4,200 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this KIA FORTE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - SULPHUR. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 27,468 miles high for a 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 43,726 miles across 5325 sales, so at 27,468 miles this one sits 37% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This KIA FORTE has water/flood and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
