Question 1

What do mechanical 2023 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA FORTE with mechanical damage, the median was $5,200, from $4,000 to $8,500. That is 7% above the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,200 a good price for this 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

5579 comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,350 to $7,600. At $9,200 this one went 90% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 KIA FORTE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this KIA FORTE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - HOUSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 54,587 miles high for a 2023 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 44,253 miles across 5579 sales, so at 54,587 miles this one sits 23% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 KIA FORTE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
