Question 1

What do hail 2022 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 59 recorded sales of the 2022 KIA FORTE with hail damage, the median was $6,638, from $3,500 to $9,900. That is 58% above the $4,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2022 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

2472 comparable 2022 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,200, spanning $3,250 to $6,300. At $6,900 this one went 64% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 KIA FORTE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this KIA FORTE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MO - CASEYVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 780 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$750, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 43,314 miles high for a 2022 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 56,429 miles across 2472 sales, so at 43,314 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 KIA FORTE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
