What do mechanical 2023 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA FORTE with mechanical damage, the median was $5,350, from $4,500 to $8,500. That is 10% above the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $4,000 a good price for this 2023 KIA FORTE?

5407 comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,850, spanning $3,375 to $7,600. At $4,000 this one went 18% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA FORTE sell for?

The insurer put this 2023 KIA FORTE's pre-damage retail value at $15,535. It sold for $4,000 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this KIA FORTE?

This 2023 KIA FORTE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 KIA FORTE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 39,902 miles high for a 2023 KIA FORTE?

Comparable 2023 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 43,873 miles across 5407 sales, so at 39,902 miles this one sits 9% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
