Question 1

What do front end 2018 KIA FORTE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA FORTE with front end damage, the median was $3,400, from $3,000 to $5,300. That is level with the $3,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,400 a good price for this 2018 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

93 comparable 2018 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,400, spanning $3,050 to $4,450. At $3,400 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA FORTE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 KIA FORTE's pre-damage retail value at $10,039. It sold for $3,400 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 KIA FORTE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 79,102 miles high for a 2018 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 70,202 miles across 93 sales, so at 79,102 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA FORTE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
