Question 1

What does a non-repairable mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 KIA FORTE was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 2

How far is this KIA FORTE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WI - SUSSEX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 850 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $550-$800, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 KIA FORTE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 107,318 miles high for a 2016 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 72,320 miles across 27 sales, so at 107,318 miles this one sits 48% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This KIA FORTE has right side and rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2016 KIA FORTE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
