Question 1

Was $3,400 a good price for this 2019 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

1333 comparable 2019 KIA FORTE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,400. At $3,400 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This KIA FORTE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA FORTE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 KIA FORTE's pre-damage retail value at $14,350. It sold for $3,400 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 KIA FORTE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 KIA FORTE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 38,968 miles high for a 2019 KIA FORTE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 KIA FORTE listings at auction averaged 77,978 miles across 1333 sales, so at 38,968 miles this one sits 50% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
