Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 153 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,525, from $3,350 to $5,900. That is 13% above the $4,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a cert of title (p) mean for this HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON was sold on a cert of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this HYUNDAI TUCSON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - WEST MIFFLIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 85,497 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings at auction averaged 92,978 miles across 2486 sales, so at 85,497 miles this one sits 8% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Did this 2018 HYUNDAI TUCSON come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
